I have recently been experimenting with alcohol markers, a new medium for me and also a new stylised approach. Some of these images have been reproduced on various items and are available on the Shop page

Some of the latest Alcohol Marker drawings will soon be available as Giclee prints through the shop page. I'm in the process of getting proof copies of these images and will add them as and when they are ready. They will be mounted using all acid free materials and supplied wrapped in clear acetate for protection. Here is an example of one of these prints framed.

A 3D painting of a Yemen Chameleon with flowers and a butterfly

MAY 2025

I've been experimenting with reworking some of the Alcohol Marker drawings by cutting out each piece of the composition from Ampersand Claybord and then painting them in Golden Fluid Acrylics.

Once everything had been painted they were stacked and glued together using spacers of various thicknesses to give varying depths and create a 3d appearance.

The finished work was framed in a deep rebate frame with Artglass to eliminate reflections.

Spiral bound notebooks with 80 lined pages will soon be available from my shop page. There will be a number of different paintings featured on the lovely fabric covers with more being added as new work is completed.

I'm in the process of framing and in some cases reframing my available work to be added to this site. As these pieces will be available for sale, I felt it necessary to include images of these works in their frames so any perspective buyer could see exactly what they would be purchasing. This will be an ongoing project, so check back regularly to see newly available work.

July 2025

I'm so proud and excited to say that after twenty years I'm going back to Nature in Art as Artist in Residence. I will be working in the studio on my latest painting from 1-3 August. It would be great to see you there!

AUGUST 2025

This is a very rare photograph of the artist at work, taken during my first residency in twenty years at Nature in Art. It was a great experience meeting so many like minded people, talking about art and the natural world. Hopefully I will back there very soon

SEPTEMBER 2025

Amongst the numerous projects on the go at the moment is this idea I've been thinking about for a long time. The plan is to paint a number of brightly coloured marine fish on individual pieces of Ampersand Claybord that have been cut out with a scroll saw. When I have created enough fish, they will be varnished and fixed to create a shoal that will hang directly on the wall, without a frame, to achieve a colourful piece of wall art.

OCTOBER 2025

I will have this painting of an Amazon Milkfrog and three other framed originals available for sale in a small exhibition at St Paul's Church Hall, Wooburn HP10 0PW, England from 4th - 11th October.
